Let children explore AI.Keep parents in control.

Children are already meeting AI in search, schoolwork and everyday apps. They need room to learn—inside boundaries their family understands.

Powered by QuerySafe Compass

A guidance layer between a child and AI.

Standard Compass decides how a request should use AI. Compass for Kids adds a family profile before that decision.

Explore QuerySafe Compass
  1. 01

    Understand

Compass reads the child's request and identifies the topic, intent and level of help being asked for.

  2. 02

    Check

It compares the request with the child profile, family rules, allowed times and parent-approved topics.

  3. 03

    Guide

It shapes the request toward an age-appropriate, learning-first response instead of simply passing it through.

  4. 04

    Explain

Parents get a clear reason when a request is limited, paused or held for their review.

Parent controls

Boundaries a family can understand and change.

The product direction starts with visible controls—not hidden settings or one-size-fits-all decisions.

  • 01

    Age-based profiles

Parents choose an age range and adjust the experience as a child grows. One family can have different settings for each child.

  • 02

    Topics and boundaries

Set subjects the child can explore, restrict topics that are not appropriate, and decide when an adult should step in.

  • 03

    Time limits and schedules

Choose daily limits, homework hours and bedtime pauses instead of leaving AI available all day.

  • 04

    Parent activity summaries

See useful themes, time spent and moments that may need attention without turning every conversation into constant surveillance.

  • 05

    Learning-first responses

Encourage explanations, hints and questions that help a child think, rather than simply completing schoolwork for them.

  • 06

    Pause and review

Parents can pause access, update a rule or review a flagged interaction from one family control centre.

Family setup

Simple enough to revisit together.

Parental controls work better when children know what the rules are and why they exist.

  1. 01Create a child profileSet the child’s age range and the kind of help AI may provide.
  2. 02Choose family boundariesDecide topics, schedules, time limits and situations that should involve a parent.
  3. 03Stay informedReceive clear summaries and adjust the experience as needs change.

Learning before answers

AI should help a child think—not think for them.

A learning-first mode is intended to offer hints, explanations and age-appropriate questions before giving a direct answer.

Child

“What is 3/4 of 20?”

Compass for Kids

“Let's split 20 into four equal groups first. How many are in each group?”

Parental controls add boundaries; they do not replace a parent.

This product is in development. It is not an emergency service, a substitute for supervision, or a guarantee that every unsuitable response can be prevented.

FAQ

Questions about AI for Kids

Is QuerySafe Compass for Kids available now?

Not yet. It is in development. This page describes the direction of the product so parents, educators and child-safety specialists can help shape it.

How does QuerySafe Compass power the experience?

Compass is intended to sit between the child and the AI service. It interprets the request, checks it against the family profile, and guides or limits the request before selecting an appropriate response path. The exact integrations are still being developed.

What would parents be able to control?

The planned controls include age profiles, allowed and restricted topics, daily limits, schedules, learning modes, pause controls and activity summaries. The final set may change during development.

Will parents read every conversation?

The goal is to give parents useful visibility without making constant surveillance the default. We are exploring summaries and clearly explained flags, with stronger review options when a family chooses them.

Will it do a child's homework?

The learning direction is to explain, ask guiding questions and offer hints. Parents would be able to select a learning-first mode intended to support understanding rather than provide ready-to-submit work.

Does parental control make AI completely safe for children?

No technology can promise that. QuerySafe Compass for Kids is intended to add age-aware boundaries and parent controls, not replace supervision, family conversations, teachers or professional support.

Who can help shape the product?

We welcome input from parents, schools, child-development professionals and online-safety specialists. Contact QuerySafe to share the situations and controls that matter most.

What would make AI feel more manageable for your family?

QuerySafe Compass for Kids is in development. We want to learn from parents, educators and child-safety specialists before deciding what ships first.
